BOOKS & MANUSCRIPTS
My nonfiction writing explores the intersections of culture, memory, identity, and the ways we inhabit the world, both physically and imaginatively.
Two completed manuscripts are available for consideration by literary agents and publishers.
Architecture of Renewal
How Cultures Use Heritage to Move Forward
Illustrated Narrative Nonfiction | Completed Manuscript
How does a society modernize without erasing itself?
Moving through museums and cultural institutions in Iran between 1870 and 1941, Architecture of Renewal examines how cultural heritage became an instrument of public memory, civic identity, and national transformation.
Combining historical investigation with narrative storytelling, the book explores the complicated relationship between preservation and progress, and the extraordinary uses to which societies put their past.
Approximately 60,000 words, accompanied by 25–30 original drawings.
Learning to Breathe
Nonfiction | Completed Manuscript
What does the body know before the mind has found the words?
Learning to Breathe explores breath, attention, and the spaces that shape our experience of the world.
Moving between embodied experience and public life, the book considers how feeling is trained, how attention is directed, and how the body learns to negotiate what the mind has not yet named.
An exploration of perception, awareness, and the often-unnoticed relationship between our interior lives and the environments we inhabit.
